The Red Cat Jazz Festival is the largest fundraising event of the Red Cat Jazz Preservation Society. Each year, the festival features international, national, regional, and local Jazz musicians, to help provide scholarships for deserving high school students attend college, kids to participate in our summer workshops, and to provide FREE concerts to hospitals, senior assistant living facilities, elementary, middle and high schools to promote JAZZ education in the community.
Not only is the festival a celebration of music, but it raises much needed funds for The Red Cat Jazz Preservation Society, a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation which started in 2009 to highlight the importance of maintaining the musical heritage of jazz. Each year, they provide children in our surrounding communities with free musical instruments and music-based college scholarships.
